How to Use the Wheel
- Add your choices. Type them in or paste a whole list.
- Change colors, weights, or sound if you want. You can skip this.
- Press spin.
- The winner pops up. Copy it, remove it from the wheel, or spin again.
Most people go from nothing to a result in under a minute.
Why People Trust the Result
Each spin of Wheel Spiner is settled by the outcome of a cryptographic random number generator. In other words, a winning combination is randomly selected, and the animation is just randomly picked to fit the outcome. Therefore, the game cannot be affected by how hard you click or wait before clicking.
Getting the same result twice in a row is not a matter of chance, but it still occurs randomly. Outcomes of the game do not depend on each other, as in case of a coin toss: getting heads three times consecutively is possible, although rare. If you do not want the same person to win twice, you should remove a winner from the wheel after each round.
You can read the full explanation and test it yourself on our Randomness Audit page.
What You Can Do with It
In the Classroom
Put your class list on the wheel and spin to choose who answers next. Remove each student after they've had a turn so everyone gets one. Quieter students get called on as often as the ones who always put their hand up. [Add one real teacher quote or use case here.]
For Giveaways
Paste your entrants, spin on a livestream or screen share, and let everyone watch the winner come up. Screenshot the result card to post it. If you run giveaways, check the rules for contests where you live, since we don't manage promotions.
At Work
Rotate who runs the standup, who takes notes, and who presents first. A wheel settles it without anyone having to volunteer or be volunteered.
At Home
Dinner, movie night, whose turn it is to do the dishes. The Chore Roulette and Date Night templates are popular places to start.
For Streamers and Creators
Use the wheel for viewer picks, challenges, and prize draws. [Add details about OBS or browser-source capture only if you support it. Otherwise delete this section.]
For Tough Decisions
Fine for small ones like what to eat. For anything serious, the wheel is a tiebreaker at best, so talk to a real person.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a spin wheel?
A spin wheel is an online tool that picks one option at random from a list. You enter your choices, spin, and the wheel lands on a winner. People use it for classroom picks, giveaways, group decisions, and games.
Is Wheel Spiner really free?
Yes. You can create a wheel, add entries, spin, and see the results for free, with no account. An account is only needed if you want to save wheels to the cloud, use them on other devices, or see analytics.
How random is the wheel?
Each result comes from a cryptographically secure random number generator, and the winner is chosen before the animation starts. You can test it yourself on our Randomness Audit page.
Why did the wheel pick the same name twice?
Every spin is independent, so repeats are a normal part of randomness. If you don't want repeats, remove each winner after they're picked.
How do I pick a random name from a list?
Paste your list into the entries box, one name per line, then press spin. The wheel updates as you type.
Can I make some options more likely to win?
Yes. Turn on weighted mode and give an entry a larger weight. A weight of 3 gives it three times the chance of a weight of 1.
Can I use pictures on the wheel?
Yes. JPG, PNG, and WebP images are supported.
Can I put the wheel on my own website?
Yes. Public wheels come with an iframe embed code you can paste into any site.
Are my entries private?
[Confirm exactly how entries are stored and whether they are sent to your servers, then state it plainly here.]
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, it works in any modern mobile browser. [Add app details only if the apps exist.]
Can I use it for giveaways?
Yes. Spin in front of your audience and share the result card. Please follow the contest rules in your country and on your platform, since you're responsible for running the giveaway itself.
